It seems to me that it is connected with another human need – to feel the only. She is from early childhood, when I, a baby, was an equal universe for myself and everything that happened to me was felt as an event of a universal scale. At this age, says psychoanalysis, we feel omnipotent. Gradually, the face of
the mother, which was also separated by me, and only then did I vaguely realized that in this world there is “I” – and there is “not me”. But the “I” was still the main. I was still omnipotent, although not the whole universe. And then, as my consciousness developed, I realized: no, I’m not in the center, not the main one, and the main thing is generally not.
We can say this: in order to gain maturity, you need to lose the omnipotence that the baby has, but to preserve the feeling that you are the only. Without this desire to feel unique person is inconceivable. Although it becomes more and more difficult to implement it: we live in a world of large circulations, average numbers, standard requirements. Creativity is one of the most reliable opportunities to reunite with its uniqueness.
If there is no creativity in our life, we still look for confirmation of our uniqueness in different, not always pretty ways. Scandalized in the store, capricious in a restaurant, demand increased attention from the loved ones, we are jealous and do nonsense. And only creativity gives us the opportunity to feel the only ones, without infringing on anyone and not offending anyone. How this desire for creativity is manifested, in fact, it does not matter. The joy that I experience, diluting the flowers, and the joy that the artist feels, creating his paintings – from one source. It is worthwhile to look around carefully around us, and there will certainly be what we do with pleasure, with love. So, creatively. Love is included in creativity as an indispensable, first condition. I like to build sands from sand, and if they turn out, then the sand loves me. And that means I am the Creator, I am the only.
